REUNION!!!

Yesterday a bunch of us got together. These are people whom I haven't really seen since high school. Gena and I thought it would be fun to have our own reunion because there are so many of us from different graduating years. We had a blast. There was a great turn out. I'd guess about 20 people or so. Nobody's really changed. It was great to see Greg Sawyer, Nick Prichard, Peter Moore. Jenni Buethe, Veronica Cruz, Lupe and Ruben Rangel were also there to name a few. We had a barbecue, played horse shoes (Yay! Joe and I won. Sorry Loops), and played water volleyball. But the best part was just catching up and spending a great day with these people whom I never get to see but I still care so much about. It was like there was never any time apart. We all talked like we see each other all of the time. That is true friendship right there. A bunch of us plan on getting together for the anual park fete here in Escalon. Hope we can do this again soon. Great memories!!!!

Temple Trip

This past Saturday we had a ward family temple trip to the Oakland Temple. It was such a great day. I've never seen so many people I know at the temple all at once. It was a very spiritual experience. I got to be with the primary children. They had so much fun. The temple grounds were so pretty like they always are. Joe, Leah, and I went to San Francisco afterwards. It was beautiful and warm there. We went down to Pier 39 and walked along Embarcadero St. It is so nice to spend time with my family. I'm trying to get every moment in before we have to say goodbye to everyone. I love days like this. It's one I will remember for a very long time.

ABOUT US

Joe and I have been married for over three years now. Wow! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. We started out living in Gilroy. We loved it there. It is such a pretty place to live. I worked at In n Out Burger while Joe worked at his Uncle Randy's machine shop. But, as life goes our plans changed. We moved back to Escalon, where we currently live, to live with my folks for a while. It's been great and it's also been a great challenge. We are so excited to move on to the next chapter of our lives which is going to include the Air Force. Yes, Joe has decided to enlist. It's scarry and exciting all at the same time. I'm looking forward for the opportunities it will bring to our lives. I can't wait to travel and see a few small pieces of this great big world. I love my husband and the dedication he has to making a great live for us and our future family. His goal is to head to basic training by August 1. I wasn't nervous until just recently. I can't imagine him being gone for eight whole weeks. Until then, we just plan on spending a lot of time together.
